Welcome to My World

Ask anyone that knows me, and they will tell you I am 10% engineer and 90% dog dad. What can I say? I love dogs! I am currently raising an 8-month-old Doberman puppy named Kobe, as well as a 11-year-old whippet mix named MJ whom I rescued when she was only 4 months old. We spend most of our time playing in our back yard and learning new tricks, but you can also find us at the park, hiking, or at home on the couch watching sports.

If you are wondering why Metallica is up first on my music rotation the answer is simple, I was born to rock 🤘! Seriously, 80's heavy metal holds a special place in my heart. Starting as a 1- year-old my dad (who loved Iron Maiden and Judas Priest) let my hair grow, so I can be a rocker baby. This happened up to the time I was the lead guitarist for a metal band in high school — metal was the way. Now-a-days, my musical palette is more diverse ranging from electronic music to classical nocturnes by Chopin, to name a few. Like many of you, I have a playlist for everything, a song for every mood. Below are just a few of my top picks:

If you have read this far, you are probably wondering how I can have time to be a developer, raise puppies, rock out, and still have energy to read? The answer: COFFEE! But seriously, I haven't always considered myself someone who reads. Until recently, reading has become another passion of mine. I love how the right book can allow for my mind to relax and imagination to take place. Overall, my affinity for genres varies but for the most part I find that I really enjoy books that teach spiritual freedom, personal finances or are psychological in nature. Here are a few of my favorite books, in one way or another they have helped shape who I am today.

Last but certainly not least, comes my fitness hobby. This is the part I call the "work in-progress," but nonetheless a very enjoyable part. I love lifting weights and I enjoy hiking. But, I know what you are thinking: "another kid from LA that likes hiking," how cliche! How can I not when I live in a concrete jungle? This taught me to really appreciate the outdoors. Since graduating UC Irvine, I have been blessed enough to experience hikes all throughout LA, OC, and San Bernardino counties. Here are a few of my favorite so far.
